H.A. - Nemesis/AngelAn important part of an artist's work is the ability to visualise a receptive audience, someone watching over your shoulder, who is pleased with your work. For some it is their significant other, for some it is a mentor, or a lover, for some (if you are a person of faith) its God... it really depends on the person. For the sake of simplifying things, we'll call this person your Angel.  
Your Angel is always present, but "visible" only to you. They are your primary source of encouragement, personal affirmation, and often your muse. Some of you will already know what I'm talking about, some of you will already have met your Angel, and some H.A. - Nemesis/Angel

This assignment is designed to allow thought to flow freely without the common barriers of thinking too much.  
 
You will need:  -pen/pencil  -paper  -a friend with a watch, or a timer with an alarm   
Before you start:  -think of a character who is the polar opposite of yourself  -give that character a name  -write that name at the top of the page  -think of an incident (ie. a bike was stolen)  -write the incident beneath the name   
Give yourself about 3 - 5 minutes to get to know your character. DON'T think much about the storyline, its the H.A. - 10 min Spill

 Earth hung below, a dull rock in a basket of shining marbles. The rainbow tails of comets brushed past at an awesome speed, and the red orange of zealous Mars reflected on his pale face. Burning stars held no danger, only beauty for the strange traveller. Frosty asteroids looked on silently as the Earthling and his devilish companion flew past on a winged wrath. Hi Inklings!
Um, Yeah. I've been clobbered by a personal wall of difficulty, and it took me offline since Christmas. It's school related - so I can't promise that I'll be running up to speed again anytime soon...
I noticed that in my lengthy absence, my mailbox didn't get clogged with submissions, which could be good or bad - depending on how you look at it.

Hi guys
remember 'assignment 1'? The thing ~ kelticangel put up, showing the plan of a room and asking us to write a short piece with a description of the room as a crime scene?
Well, you might be interested to know that my submission for that (Rosewood and Dust [link]) is a featured selection in Suture 6. :D
So thanks for coming up with the assignment - my writing has definitely improved by getting involved with various clubs on dA.

hi inklings members..

i just read *RebeccaA's Falling (Version 2), and i must say..

It is a very good read.. You know how people always say when you're dying, life's panels flashes across you??

That was how i felt when i read Falling (Version 2).. As i type this now, I am thinking to myself, what would come first to mind when i am on the bed and dying..

Something worth pondering about eh...

Anyways, do read Falling (Version 2).. There's gonna be a re-write I hope, so critique her and we'll see a better version of Falling the next time round...
