The Inklings Verdict

Mon Nov 2, 2009, 8:04 PM
Hello everyone,

Due to a lack of response, I will NOT be reopening the Inklings account. For those who are interested in doing various creative writing exercises, I will be posting them on my PERSONAL account instead. I'm even willing to give you feedback on your writing, if you ask me to.

Please feel free to add ~kelticangel to your watch/friends list. I will post creative writing assignments as my journal entries.

I wish you all the best in your future writing adventures!
:D

Attn: All Writers! Please Respond!

Hello Inklings!
I'm hoping this will turn into a "welcome back" type of announcement. I would dearly like to bring this society of writers back to where it had been - and beyond. In order to do that, I will need at least two people willing to help me "run the show" as it were. If you were previously part of the admin team, you're more than welcome to continue in that role: just drop me a note on my private page (~kelticangel) and let me know you're interested.

The Inklings are a small society of writers who:
- honestly but caringly critique each other's work in an effort to better one another
- enjoy "showing off" our writing to other writers who enjoy "showing off"
- are willing to take on monthly writing assignments to stretch and hone our skills

Hi Inklings!
Um, Yeah. I've been clobbered by a personal wall of difficulty, and it took me offline since Christmas. It's school related - so I can't promise that I'll be running up to speed again anytime soon...
I noticed that in my lengthy absence, my mailbox didn't get clogged with submissions, which could be good or bad - depending on how you look at it.

Your lack of homework assignments has extended to Easter... :D
But expect one for April. Nothing hard, most of us are students, and April's a busy month.

December Newsletter

Mon Dec 6, 2004, 6:26 PM
:snowflake:Hi Inklings! :snowflake:
Thanks so much to all of you who've gotten back to me with feedback from that survey, I really appreciate it. I've gotten some awesome ideas for some changed from you, nothing too drastic, I promise! :)
If there's some of you who haven't had a chance to respond yet, I'm still very much open to your input.

Keep the submissions coming, if nothing else, I'll look at them. :D
(Is there something evil about actualy likeing to critique?)
If you'd prefer I didn't post it in a newsletter for all of us to look at, just mention so in your note. :)

There will be No Homework for the month of December. Mostly for these reasons:
1.) I'm stacked up in books and assignments to my eyebrows and haven't had the time to go through my literary books and find something for you to do.
2.) I plain forgot to find something, until now.
3.) I'm hoping to be a little more organised for the new year, and get some of these changes underway. :)
But, that said, who likes doing homework over Christmas anyways????
